Smog Symphony
Dhaka, the bustling capital of Bangladesh, grapples with an ominous environmental crisis. Its air is thick with a lethal blend of pollutants, primarily PM2.5, those minuscule particles that infiltrate our lungs, causing respiratory ailments, heart conditions, and even cancer. The culprits? Brick kilns, belching coal smoke for construction materials, and traffic snarls, where poorly maintained vehicles spew exhaust fumes. Add to this toxic brew industrial emissions, construction dust, and waste incineration. The haunting photographs depict Dhaka’s architectural landscape veiled in smog, a glimpse into a dystopian future where the city stands abandoned, devoid of human presence, due to its uninhabitable conditions.
